$1 ebook - Use of Weapons by Iain Banks

Sony are now selling the next $1 ebook Use Of Weapons by Iain M Banks.
Click on the banner on the main page.
It doesn't appear to be up at diesel or books on board yet.
Non-US people may have trouble buying it because of the recent hachette debacle

The other sites aren't updated yet.

But I have a complaint about BoB: why the hell is the book 1$ in all formats except mobipocket?! The mobi version is at full price!

BoB is causing a lot of ill-will right now, one apparently to do with the hapless way in which their publicity person contacted customers with his/her poorly worded "attack" on their legitimate customers. This has caused a number of people on this site to make a comparison between the words Professional and Amateur.

If BoB really cared, they would send a second letter and apologize for the poorly-worded and insulting email they sent out, and try to once again gain the suport they lost with those customers.

Let me put it to you this way: It's called having manners and communicating with someone with grace and style. I've seen an absence of this quality demonstrated in quite a number of differing venues lately.

Strangely enough, Way of the Shadows is still $1 too, so if you haven't gotten it yet, now is the time.

Argh, just bought it from fictionwise!!! But if you have a chance, like SF and want to try a British author, this book is absolutly great.

OH NO!!! Fictionwise has it for $1 but can't download due to geographical restrictions first time I see this

I could change country buy it and change back but could it affect my current and future purchases?

What gives? Last month when I went to the Orbit site:

http://www.onedollarorbit.com/

the January book offered multiple outlets, including Sony, and Kindle story. Now it has the Banks book, but the select button says Sony and only Sony! This ins spite of this blurb from Orbit:

"We've partnered with the top ebook vendors to offer readers in the USA an ebook a month for just $1."

Vendors is plural! How come no Kindle for this one?

It might not be up yet for the Kindle. They had it last time.
