Quite frankly, there isn't a good sf/fantasy book in today's exclusive or else slushpile to centre a post around. And I have to catch a bus for 6 hours worth of classes in 10 minutes.

So this is the yield of vaguely interesting backlist stuff which you may or may not be interested in:

Nebula Award winner Eric James Stone's short story: Resonance.

Ruth Nestvold (apparently praised by Cory Doctorow and various sf/fantasy short stories published in respectable outlets) Arthurian fantasy/maybe-romance novel: Yseult.

Robert E. Vardeman (writes gaming tie-in novels) sf short story: Moonlight in the Meg.

Ellen Fisher (formerly Bantam-published) historical romance: Love Remembered.

Robert W. Walker (previously featured) looks like horror/thriller: Front Burners.

Fellow MR member author Paul Levine legal thriller in currently Big 6-published Jake Lassiter series: To Speak for the Dead.

Bob Mayer/Robert Doherty morbid curiosity thriller (reviews say horrible waste of trees): Atlantis.

ETA: new MR member pdarnold kindly found and shared all 4 in A.A. Attanasio's Arthurian epic fantasy still free without DRM @ Kobo in bottom of other thread. Can't link; typing from device on bus, sorry.

KDP=Kindle Direct Publishing, the self-pub outlet that people used to call DTP (I have no idea what the acronym letters in that one were).
