HTML Conversion Problem
Hey Guys,
Thanks for any replies in advanced and apologies if this is a simple fix, I'm new to Calibre and loving it but I have one problem. I have an HTML book and it imports into Calibre fine but when converting it for output to Kindle I recieve an error with the output below. This book was a .chm that I broke down using another program, I am not sure if that is relevant but I had some problems using other .chm conversion tools so I resorted to this. I have tried just throwing the html file as a txt on but the formatting is awful that way and a merged html file is too big to browse with the web browser. If anyone can solve my Calibre conundrum or figure another way to get this book on my Kindle I would be most grateful. Regards, BT Convert book 1 of 1 Processing archive... Hey, I opened a ticket and attached the HTML file but now I can't find the tickets under view tickets. I hope I did everything properly.
Thanks |

Your html file was empty (it was a frameset file, not the actual content). Open it in notepad to see for yourself.

Hey, thanks!
I just assumed that since that is what the .chm decoder gave me that is what I should put in calibre. I put a different html file that I checked this time from the book into calibre and it worked just fine, the text is a bit light is there something I can tweak to make the text darker? I have another book that was giving me the same problem, I checked and it too was the frameset html but there is no other html file that has links to all the other chapters of the book. Is there some way easy way to make a table of contents html so I can import and have easy navigation? |

There's an entry in the calibre FAQ about creating a table of contents with html files.
