The jail is dedicated to cops, I installed it into the root and changed the port to 8080 (this will make me able to forward the port from my router, port 80 is already in use)
I'm accessing it using the Local ip http:\\192.168.1.103:8080\index.php PS the .htaccess is exactly the same. Last edited by dannyb78; 04-12-2014 at 05:40 PM. |

That's really strange, do you have access to Apache logs I guess it could help.

First of all I moved all my books and tested it with a very small library and folders tree. Same problem occurs.
I also forwarded the port on my router to test the access via hostname and fully qualified dns name. no good news too. Here's a bit of my log, tell me how can I send the wole file to you, if needed. I'm really appreciating your help Code:

After reading your log, it would seem URL rewriting is not enabled. could you change your .htaccess to make it look like that :
Code:
RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^download/(\d*)/(\d*)/.*\.kepub\.epub$ fetch.php?data=$1&db=$2&type=epub [L] RewriteRule ^download/(\d*)/(\d*)/.*\.(.*)$ fetch.php?data=$1&db=$2&type=$3 [L] RewriteRule ^download/(\d*)/.*\.kepub\.epub$ fetch.php?data=$1&type=epub [L] RewriteRule ^download/(\d*)/.*\.(.*)$ fetch.php?data=$1&type=$2 [L] It should trigger an error if URL rewriting is not really enabled. You can also try to drop all the "^" before "download" it shouldn't matter in your case but who knows. |

I'm pretty sure you are thinking right. I enabled the auth in .htaccess but I can still access the site without log in.
I'm googling it looking for a solution. unlikely I'm not a BSD or apache expert. EDIT I've got it! my httpd.conf was prevent .htaccess to override rules. now all is working right. thank you! Last edited by dannyb78; 04-14-2014 at 09:27 AM. |

I apologize for the late feedback, but only today I have been able to go back to the problem.
Quote:
I have DSM4.3 on a DS213. I have already installed COPS as described in the FAQ, and it works with the two libraries. I wanted to try the package, for ease of update. Quote:
I have discovered today that I have two folders with config_local.php. One was under /volume1/@appstore/cops/share/cops/, the other in /volume1/web/cops/; I was modifying the first (and the "wrong" one) Quote:
English is a foreign language for me, too Thank you againMy problems started because I went looking for the config_local.php file and found the wrong one. Just including in the FAQ that the file will be in the /volume1/web/cops folder (or something the the same lines), would help others to avoid the same mistake Arineko |

I've got Calibre Cops up and running. I can browse the library, read the book summary, etc. But books can't be downloaded to my Kobo Glo.
I got this error message: Code:
Not Found The requested URL /i-data/58b8342e/COPS/fetch.php was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.80 PHP/5.4.12 mod_wsgi/2.4 Python/2.6.2 Server at 192.168.2.4 Port 80. In the config_local.php: Code:
$config['cops_use_url_rewriting'] = "1"; Edit/Update: Changing 'url rewriting' to its default: Code:
$config['cops_use_url_rewriting'] = "0"; Code:
fetch.php fetch1.php fetch2.php etc. Guess something goes wrong with the renaming of the downloaded files including the proper file extension. Additonal info/note: Calibre COPS works properly with a standard web browser (tested with Firefox). The selected book is downloaded and renamed correctly. NAS: ZyXEL NSA325v2 COPS: COPS 0.9.1RC1 Last edited by Anak; 04-24-2014 at 07:38 AM. |

@Anak
I do not have a Kobo myself, but maybe this could help. Have you set in config_local.php: Code:
/* * Rename .epub to .kepub.epub if downloaded from a Kobo eReader * The ebook will then be recognized a Kepub so with chaptered paging, statistics, ... * You have to enable URL rewriting if you want to enable kepup.epub download * 1 : Yes (enable) * 0 : No */ $config['cops_provide_kepub'] = "0"; |

@arineko
Thanks for reporting back @Anak Did you check setting URL rewriting ($config['cops_use_url_rewriting'] = "1" with a normal browser (Firefox, Chrome, ...) ? Are you able to download any epub file ? If not then URL rewriting is maybe not enabled on the Apache installed on your NAS. If it works then it really should be working with your Kobo. |
