Books about Pompeii?
We saw a good documentary about Pompeii and I want to learn more. My uncle, who has been there, recommended a book by Mary Beard, but alas, there is no Kindle version and I could not find it at the Kobo store either. Too bad because it sounded perfect, it explored all the latest research and debunked many myths and misconceptions. So, does anyone know of another good book, or books, for this topic? Are the public domain ones (Hall and Bulwer-Lytton) worthwhile? Are there other good contemporary titles which are interesting, accurate, and decently formatted as ebooks? All suggestions welcome.

I would recommend Pompeii by Robert Harris.

Of course, from Project Gutenberg, the daddy of them all, The Last Days of Pompei by Edward Bulwer Lytton is available, but it's very heavy reading.
