Same thing has happened to me and when I emailed for help they told me to register with my FIN number, which of course I don't have And the number I registered with didn't work either.

Freebies are the way to go to cure the ebook addiction itch IMHO!
Read a few of the crap ones and you're put off reading for a while so don't want to buy books, erad a few good 'uns and you spend more time searching for freebies and not buying - easy! |

You're right, I think it's as much the thrill of the hunt to get them as anything else. |

Okay, I've been reading this support thread for several days. I am now willing to admit that I am an ebook addict/hoarder. But I'm not sure I want help—yet. It's fun to collect ebooks. I even have read some.
I may be forced to deal with this issue once my Kindle fills up. At the rate I'm going, with all the freebies and tempting indie books that call to me, that may be by year's end. But wait, I can archive books too! Does this ever end? Thanks everyone, for sharing your stories of pain and recovery. It's comforting to know that I am not alone and there is hope. |

Hah!! I did it again!! I bought a book. Actually I bought more than one, but I do intend to admit one a day so I can come back to this thread daily, in order to feel not so alone. Remember? I was the one that has no friends and is lonely, so I have to buy them books to come here...
Spending might not buy eternal happyness but it DOES make me feel good (for a split second that is) |

Perhaps I should emphasise that you don't have to have failed to post here. Feel free to post here your daily success at resisting new ebook purchases. For example, it is now 11 days since I last bought an ebook. |

Perhaps if you told us how it happened, we could give advice on how to avoid that situation in future. |
