Thanks, OP, for sharing your scripts. I've downloaded the zip folder but I'm not sure how to apply the correct files. I have launchpad installed and am running the latest firmware on my K3. Can someone help me please? TIA.

Well, once you have downloaded the zip file, just extract it, and you will find a 'launchpad' folder. Just copy and paste that folder onto your Kindle, (there should already be a 'launchpad' folder if you have Launchpad installed), and then refresh Launchpad (either by restarting your Kindle, or pressing the keys, "Shift>Shift>Space").

Then, whenever you press the appropriate Launchpad shortcuts listed on the " screensaver_timeout.ini" file, such as "Shift>S>A" or "Shift>S>B" or "Shift>S>C" or "Shift>S>D" or ..., and the screensaver timeout will change.

Hello inameiname, thank you for the detailed description. I've copied the contents into the original launchpad folder in my kindle and restarted the device. When pressing Shift>S>etc..., am I supposed to get any feedback that the timeout has now changed? When I type these letters at the homescreen, I only call up the search mode. TIA.

You will get a 'succeeded' message at the bottom of the screen if your Launchpad commands worked or not. Sometimes if you don't press the combo of keys quick enough, or are too quick, you will get a cross feed or whatever into that search bar. Just get out of the search mode bar and try again. I don't believe you will get any other confirmation showing the timeout has changed other than that 'succeeded' message for the good Launchpad command. But you can always prove if it worked or not by putting your Kindle down and seeing how long it takes before it goes to screensaver.

I'm feeling more than a little dim, but I just can't get the succeeded message to appear. Is it a matter of coordination, timing, or being at the correct screen, etc? I've tried googling about using the launchpad and timeout to no avail.
