Doctor Faustus: With The English Faust Book

I am excited to announce my new release of Christopher Marlowe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS: WITH THE ENGLISH FAUST BOOK. This is a special edition of the play which I have edited to include the original research on Marlowe that I undertook for my historical novel THE MARLOWE CONSPIRACY. This edition also features complimentary works, such as the English Faust Book which inspired Marlowe's play, and AC Swinburne's essay on Marlowe's works.

Here's the product description:

DOCTOR FAUSTUS:
With The English Faust Book

Declared by Swinburne as having 'no parallel in all the range of tragedy', Doctor Faustus is considered Christopher Marlowe's greatest work. This edition of his play gathers together both published versions of The Tragical History Of Doctor Faustus, from the Quarto of 1604, and the Quarto of 1616, each with modernized spelling and full textual notes. Optimized for navigation as an eBook, with a table of contents linked to every section, this edition also features a wealth of contextual sources, such as The English Faust Book, Marlowe's main inspiration for the play, a detailed timeline, a biographical profile, an extensive list of all Marlowe's personal associates, and a collection of all the key primary documents relating to Marlowe's dramatic life and death (e.g., The Privy Council Note To Cambridge Authorities, The Dutch Church Libel, The Baines Note, & much more).

INCLUDED INSIDE:
- The Tragical History Of Doctor Faustus (1604)
- The Tragical History Of Doctor Faustus (1616)
- The English Faust Book
- Detailed Timeline
- Biographical Profile (detailing Marlowe's birth, death, family, education, profession, criminal record, religious beliefs, legacy, etc.)
- List of Marlowe's Personal Associates
- Primary Sources on Marlowe's Life and Death
- A. C. Swinburne's famous critical essay, 'Christopher Marlowe'

BONUS FEATURE:
- An exclusive excerpt of M. G. Scarsbrook's novel THE MARLOWE CONSPIRACY, an historical thriller featuring Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare teaming-up to expose a high level government conspiracy.

New Production!

Interesting news! For anyone who's interested in this play, you might like to know that a new production of it is scheduled at The Rose Theatre in London.

This is the original site where Marlowe had DOCTOR FAUSTUS performed in the 16th Century:
