Chapter Breaks in .txt file on Kindle?

OK, so I realize that what makes a .txt file a .txt file is that is has no formatting. But I'm wondering if any one has figured out how to make page or chapter breaks in a .txt file on a Kindle.

I want to have a document that I can edit and add text to periodically but I don't want to have to go through the hassle of deleting the old one from the Kindle and converting the new one to mobi format. A .txt file is the only thing I can think of to have on the Kindle itself that I could edit. My usual work flow is to create in Sigil and then convert in Calibre.

The easiest way would be to download Send to Kindle for PC at:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200768410
This application loads onto Windows Explorer.
Use MS Word to maintain your document. You can enter the page breaks, chapter breaks, etc. to create a well formed ebook.
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder where the Word doc is located, right-click on the file and choose Send to Kindle.
If you have wifi, in a few minutes your document is on your Kindle!

Plain .txt is a very bad choice for an e-book. Let me say that again. A very bad choice for an e-book! Instead, here's what you can do: change the .txt extension to .html and use basic tags like <b>, <i>, <br>, <img>, etc. You can still edit it just fine with whatever text editor you prefer as long as you don't use anything too heavy like Word or even Wordpad, because they add a lot of unnecessary stuff.

Of course, if you really (really??) wanna stay with .txt, you can probably use ASCII art or something... But the alignment would depend very much on the used font and it's not a very good choice for re-flowing formats (ePub, Mobi). They'll also get fragmented like hell on smaller screens.
