calibre-server OPDS catalog - manual move to web server

I know the preferred way to integrate calibre-server and Apache is nicely described here: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/server.html

However, I'm trying to help a project that has a lot of EPUB books on their web server that we need at our end, and it is unclear yet if the above option will be available, and so I would like some help to discuss a work-around.

The project manager is familiar with Calibre, and has already used it to add meta-data to her EPUB-files. She was able to locally start calibre-server, and managed to use FBReader on her phone and add the catalog over Wi-Fi in her local network. So far so good - the OPDS catalog is somewhere on her machine.

Is it possible for her to manually copy this OPDS catalog from some Temp catalog to her web server? Where would she look?

Thanks for any help on this! :-)

Not sure what you're asking. The calibre server generates it OPDS catalogue dynamically, there are no files related to it. You might be talking about the calibre2opds tool.

She visited the feed from calibre-server with Firefox, chose View source, saved that and is manually changing the paths and auto-numbering created by Calibre, and when she is done she will move this file to her web site. Here are her test files:

We tried to run this through an OPDS validator, and got some errors. How can we resolve these?

If you want to generate a static OPDS catalog, use calibre2opds, that's what it is designed for.

Thank you - calibre2opds. However, my other question was related to the OPDS specification and validation. Can you comment on that, please. :-)

calibre's OPDS feeds have existed before OPDS or its specification existed. They work with a huge range of OPDS enabled software. I have just about zero interest in making them compatible with some after the fact validator. If you do have such an interest, feel free to submit a patch.
