Perhaps that fits the bill, but that appears to me to be more like a Book of the Month Club sort of deal. With eMusic, you pay a monthly fee and then choose to download what you wish, in a quantity far greater than what that same fee could get you at iTunes.

I can't recall who said it but I believe that this has been talked about before on these forums. I believe that feedbooks.com does exactly this and there was sometone else that was thinking of the same thing.
