I, Alex Cross
Just downloaded James Patterson's book I, Alex Cross; from Barnes & Noble as an epub book; $9.99. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

Nice. This is one of the two series that is on my "To read" list by Patterson. But, I want to start from the first book. The other series is Women s Murder Club.

Be interested in what you think. I didn't care much for the earlier Patterson books but haven't read one in a long time.

I enjoy his Cross books but the protagonist bugs me. He's a privileged lazy law enforcement officer. We only root for him because the villains are, well, villainous.

Has anyone seen the commercial for this? I find it funny. Patterson says buy this book or I'll have to kill Cross. Short and to the point. Would the statement be bribery or blackmail?

I didn't like anything form Patterson since Pops goes the weasel...
I read 4 or 5 more mysteries, but I ended with the feeling of wasted time... Does somebody knows who the ghost writers are? |

I really enjoyed the first few of the books in this series, but the last couple were bland. Alex Cross starts to grate my nerves, with his whining and complaining and über-happy and brainiac family and his constant expression of love for them.
Actually, I also moved away from this type of crime. At first, all the gory details were good to read, now I don't want to read about more and more horrible ways in which people can cause other people suffering. |

I still haven't found the time to even start on his book. Maybe I'll get to it sometime this summer; but then again, maybe I won't.

I hadn't read a James Patterson book in a while, so I decided to give this one a try. It was pretty good with a slight plot twist at the end. Personally, I'd rate it ***oo. That's 3 out of 5 stars!
