You didn't mention it's a survey on science eBooks.

I didn't realize that it was necessary to define all links related to ebooks by genre. Sorry if I wasted your time on something that isn't fiction.

I took the survey. The question that really got me was "How many e-books do you buy in a year?":
0 1 2 3 4 or more? How many do you buy in a week might have been a more appropriate question! |

With all the free ebooks out there, I haven't gotten around to buying them yet. But then again, I just got my Libre this year. |

it's still a good survey to take. I think a lot of industry modeling is taking place right now and there is going to be cross information; ie people relying on each other's polls, surveys, etc until ebooks are not such a "new" thing.

It's not all the way to the bottom... Try 3/4 way.. It's there..

Mm-hmm. Easy to forget what a tiny niche we're in.
Ebooks are great for novels, less great for linear nonfiction (where you might want to jump around between chapters, especially after the first read), and atrocious for anything with charts & tables. And the best of the current text readers are B&W only; can't show color pics, can't show large pics. They're awful for research work; the annotation abilities are limited at best, and there's no easy "four colors of post-it notes" ability. Some of these problems will be overcome with tech advances; some may never be fixed, but enhanced search & other ebook abilities may overtake them. |
