I can only recommend to you what Patricia recommended to me: "Pee on their shoes, little doggie. That should distract them." I dunno, you could give it a try.

Or you can take your clothes off and tell them you don't like to feel "closed in" either.

Kris, don't do it. F&F (love that!) are apparently well known and well liked by management. They have already proven that they can get away with just about anything.
Let it go. Life is too precious to waste any of it by tattling on these guys. Nothing good will come your way from above, and you will only get a reputation as a NARC. |

Knowing a little about your situation, what griffonwing said here would be appropriate. In the field we call it the three "D"s; document, document, and document. It also might be appropriate to subtly let folks know that you’re documenting.

People will never fix things until a disaster occurs. As said before, document so you don't get blamed, and have a plan exactly to your tastes ready for after the disaster, and just wait for bad things to happen.

The jounal you make should be built as a savings proposal. It will seem more positive and as such will attract favourable attention to you more than the preemptive strike type multilevel incompetence disclosure you thought of first. If you give this info to a budget administration type superior it will most likely be acted upon quickly. Choose the ear carefully...

well the disaster occurred. we've been without our network most of the day. in fact I was given permission to go ahead and leave early, and thought "one more check!" well here we go! (I'm leaving anyway!) oh and I have documented this most recent! ;o)

Well, I'm just going to come right out and say this, but I can't believe that I'm the only person whose mind this has crossed.
I can't help thinking that on a web forum somewhere, F&F are venting about this woman who works with them who spends all her time on a forum site - perhaps they are even documenting it to pass on to the managers? |

Thank you Patricia.
Ironically though, I think its the same type of document I suggest that has cost you your position... Last edited by yvanleterrible; 08-08-2009 at 08:49 AM. |
