The path you posted points to an alias (which points to calibre-server). Is there a potential benefit to changing the path name I'm already using? The burst of messages I was seeing were unrelated to calibre. Once I fixed that issue, only one calibre-message remained: Apr 3 11:48:45 wayzata com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (local.calibre_server_8080): This service is defined to be constantly running and is inherently inefficient. I assume this is OK, because the calibre content servers are working fine now. |

Yes, the path I used will cause the use of a different Info.plist, which is more suitable for programs that run int he background without a UI
|

kovid, changing the path to the one you recommended
(/Applications/calibre.app/Contents/console.app/Contents/MacOS/calibre-server) does not get rid the of system log message I'm seeing: (This service is defined to be constantly running and is inherently inefficient.) [Note: I did stop the daemon before editing the daemon plist file to use your recommended path. Then when I relaunch the daemon I get the same system log message.] Ignoring this system log message, the content server is functioning without any problem. |

is this still valid? Tried this and it does not work. Also /Applications/calibre.app/Contents/console.app/Contents/MacOS/calibre-server
no longer seems available |
