Question Is there a site that offers Large Print ebooks?

Hi everyone -

Some of the classic books I have downloaded have print way too small for me to read even using my Ex/Ex Lrg font. Was wondering if there are any large print ebooks out there for download?

Or, is there a way to download extra fonts onto my Nook?

It sounds like the books you have font size problems with are in pdf format. If that is true, try converting them to epub format. (you are using Calibre to manage your library, right?)

Calibre is a software program used to manage and convert your ebooks to/from various file formats. Here is a link to download calibre. If, after installing it, you are still confused, there is a calibre subforum here on mobileread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=166

Download calibre here
http://calibre-ebook.com/download

It is a fantastic program!!

If you use Calibre it is possible to recalibrate the base font size to make it larger. This requires a reflowable format (like ePub, so use Calibre to convert PDF to ePub if necessary), and I don't know for sure that this has the desired effect on a Nook - but it should.

Note that Calibre only works with DRM-free ebooks, so you first need to strip DRM, if any. Apprentice Alf's Blog has a good summary of DRM stripping tools and issues.
