Request for test in Windows XP

Hi all,

Could someone that still uses Windows XP please test this build of calibre

http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/downlo...ibre-0.6.8.exe

I changed the windows build process somewhat and the new build works for me on vista and win7 but not on my XP machine. Unfortunately the error I get leads me to believe that perhaps the XP install is corrupted, so I'd appreciate it if someone tried it out. Thanks.

If it fails, you should be able to safely revert to the current 0.6.8

I´m on an xp machine here at work, Spanish XP Pro, still in SP2 I think.

What exactly is the error? does it not launch or something like that?

Works for me XPSP3 on an acer aspire one! Where did you think your problem was?

Seems to install fine and start up OK for me on XP Pro + SP3.

Anything specific that needs to be checked out?

It's refusing to start at all on my XP. Looks like it's definitely a problem with my XP. Thanks for the testing.
