Something like this built around a mobile processor and OS and with low power screens would be intriguing.

definitely.

I'm actually not sure why they arent able to squeeze more than 2 hours out of that thing seeing as it's just a slightly larger netbook basically.

Probably because it's smaller than most netbooks, has 2 touch panel LCDs, and possibly very little room for a battery.

The processor is also a bit power-hungry.

But I haven't been seeing anything along the lines of 2.5 hours of battery life. Most claims I've seen were in the 3.5 hour range, which is still far too low in my opinion.

From what I heard Toshiba is making this as a "limited edition" as a part of their 25 years in laptop business anniversary.
