Apparently the Sony XEL-1 11" screen draws around 7.6W. More current OLED technology will be around 3x more efficient, but that still means a draw of 2.5W, which is beyond the useful limit even for a large ereader. Wikipedia cites a recent source stating that a small AMOLED display will consume 0.7-3W at QVGA resolution, and a 6" ereader needs to be 6 times larger than that.

And of course there's the problems OLEDs have with ambient light.
