505 E: drive window opens when I connect my 505

When I connect my 505 Reader to a pc via USB, a window opens up for the E: drive which shows 2 folders, database and tmp. How can I prevent this from happening?

I right-clicked on the drive for 'properties' and then selected the 'autoplay' tab. I set each content option to "take no action." However, the E: window with the 2 folders still shows up when I connect my 505.

Any suggestions? Thx!

Is there an "always do this" (or some such) checkbox on that properties thing? That's the only thought I have, I'm afraid.

Seriously, it sounds as if you're doing the right things, so no idea.

Yup, there is in the 'autoplay' tab. I checked "take no action" for everything (as opposed to "open folder to view files"). I think I might be missing the main option window or something, though.

Try the Microsoft TweakUI "power toys", those have an option to disable autoplay completely, which is a good idea anyway.
