Exactly. Amazon would be laying themselves open to legal action if they didn't make some effort to enforce geographical restrictions. That's why eBook stores had to introduce them in the first place - they were being threatened with lawsuits by publishers.

I think the Amazon emails haven't been around for I would say, 18 months now. Even Apps can now be downloaded around the world, freely.
