The book is "Haruki Murakami - 1Q84". I have tried it several times now. It hides all the books every time. I can send it to you if you want (if it's allowed?).
I converted to epub and back to mobi, and now it works fine |

Please PM me a download link. You can delete it from the file hosting service after I download it. You may want to put it into a zip or gz file before uploading. Thanks.

Found it on the amazon site and noted with interest in its description <<Murakami is like a magician who explains what he’s doing as he performs the trick and still makes you believe he has supernatural powers . . .>> now that we saw the trick, all we miss is the explanation

I do like Haruki Murakami too - read two of his books (The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore), but quite a few years ago - I remember them being somewhat weird and disturbing, but interesting. Maybe he ported that scheme from the content of the books to their behavior on e-book devices Last edited by ixtab; 01-06-2013 at 01:56 PM. |

Another bug
Quote:
I've encountered another one on KT 5.1.2 (may be related): If you add a file that starts with prefix matching some directory name (e.g. if you have directory '/mnt/us/documents/foo/' and add the file '/mnt/us/documents/foobar.mobi'), that file will disappear from the list a few seconds after showing up there. It will also affect files with non-bugged names (e.g. '/mnt/us/documents/fubar.mobi') added at the same time. They won't be indexed unless you delete /var/local/cc.db. If you copy such file to a subfolder (e.g. '/mnt/us/documents/bars/fubar.mobi'), that one will be indexed. Here's what I found in logs: Spoiler:
Doesn't look like something exploitable though. |
