Orbit has reduced to €2.99 the price of their Hugo nominated novels: Ancillary Justice, by Ann Leckie, Neptune's Brood, by Charles Stross, and Parasite, by Mira Grant. And also The Eye of the World, first installment of The Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan.

The deal is available at Amazon and Kobo, at least when buying from Spain.

Ancillary Justice is only $1.99 in the US Google Play Store.

ETA: Parasite is only $1.99 as well. I recommend it. It's not as good as the Newsflesh books also by Mira Grant but still excellent scifi/horror.

Ancillary Justice is 1.99 at B&N too. Good price point, considering it's the current "it book" in sci-fi community.

Also, I just realized that Mira Grant is a pseudonym for Seanan McGuire... not sure how I missed that.

July 2014 Samsung Book Deals selection (accessible only via the Kindle for Samsung app):

Monstrous, by Sean Platt & David W. Wright (normally $3.99) - science fiction & fantasy, horror, thriller.

Book Description
Publication Date: November 27, 2012
They say that behind every comedian lurks a tortured soul…

Yet, comedian Henry Black finally has everything he’s always dreamed of: a thriving career, and a wife and daughter who he loves more than life itself. After years of struggle, he finally has it made.

Until three men force their way into his home, killing Henry and destroying the safe, comfortable world he has built for his family.

But that is only the beginning of his hellish torment. He wakes in purgatory, where he’s met by two men, both offering a choice. Randall offers a chance at heaven. Boothe, however, offers something far more tempting—a chance to go back to his life.

A chance to see if his family is okay.

For Henry, there is no choice. He accepts Boothe’s deal. But with every deal comes a price: his body is twisted to match his sins, and Henry is no longer the man his wife remembered—Henry is no longer a man at all.

He is monstrous.

Thrust into darkness and madness—unable to be with the people he loves—Henry embraces his new form, and his new supernatural abilities, and does the only thing he can: avenge his murder. But as Henry grows closer to the truth of what happened on that terrible night, he grows further from his humanity.

How far will he go to seek revenge?

And is he willing to sacrifice his soul?

From the authors who brought you Z 2134, Yesterday’s Gone, and ForNevermore, comes another dark tale sure to keep you waiting for the next episode.

I have a paper copy of Ancillary Justice... wondering if I should buy the eBook just to have it.

To hell with it-- it's a damn good book and worth $2 if it keeps her writing.

*** Edit: It's $9.99 at the Kindle store for me, but US $1.99 at Barnes & Noble

The Golem and the Jinni is still US $1.99 at Amazon. It is a pretty engaging read; I'm a little more than halfway through it at the moment.

Kobo US just gave me Ancillary Justice for 0.00.

Edit: Looks like I have to take that back. It seemed to let me do it, but it removed the book when I changed the address during the purchase. It looks like the version I selected in the Australian shop was not available to the US and it hence it was removed from the cart.

I submitted the B&N, Kobo & Google price to Amazon, but I'm thinking they aren't matching because of the whole fight/negotiation going on with Hachette.

I'd really like to get Ancillary Justice from Amazon and then get the audio for an extra $3.99, but might use the $1.88 in credit I still have at B&N to get it super cheap and then still get it at Amazon if they price match.
