Samhain Publishing, who've been giving us all those mostly-romance twice-a-month freebies, has a banner up on their website with the terms of their direct-buy Cyber Monday sale.

It's 40% off from 9AM through 11:59PM throughout Monday using the coupon code CYBERMONDAY.

But you can get 50% off as an early bird special from midnight to 8:59 AM Eastern Standard Time using the coupon EARLYBIRD.

The savings should stack on top of the 30% off new release/pre-order discount already offered, as usual.

In case you haven't already bought from their store, they offer DRM-free MultiFormat, suitable for any e-reader.

If romance is not your thing, they've plenty of horror new and reprints from well-recognized authors, and they've been branching out into a small selection of non-romantic fantasy & mystery as well.

And I can give a firm recommend to their "Secret McQueen" series by Sierra Dean as a fun set of not-too-serious urban fantasy/paranormal adventure romps with lots of action/political intrigue plotting to go alongside some not-too-romancey relationship drama, for which we've already been given the first one free at the beginning of the year.

(Caveat: you do have to get and read all the books and tie-in novellas in order, because they're important to the overarching plotline and stuff that happens in them gets referenced throughout.

Fun fact: like Andrea Speed's "Infected" series, the first of which was also a prior freebie from Dreamspinner Press, this happens to be also written by a Canadian, involve an it's-complicated-doesn't-even-begin-to-cover-it angle on the evolving relationship dynamics, really involved interspecies politics, an uncomfortably escalating status quo for the superpowered hero/heroine, and a snarkily somewhat-helpful professionally-associated semi-sidekick named Holden.

Everything else is kind of par for the paranormal investigation course, I suppose, but that last is the really weirdly coincidental portion.)
