for those of us who have a literary bent towards science fiction, it might interest everyone to note that when asked last night on the Jim Lehrer Report(the only decent TV news show) how he became interested in economics Paul Krugman replied that when he was a kid he read Isaac Asimov's Foundation series and he thought he would like to become someone like Hari Seldon--- the father of psychohistory
