RepliGo Professional for BlackBerry

It's not that we have anything against Cerience, their RepliGo viewer is still one of the best solutions to read PDF files on mobile devices, but after sitting down for over one and a half years without updates, we were pretty sure the company had called it a day. Seems we were wrong. Cerience has poured all of their development effort into bringing Repligo to the BlackBerry. Dubbed RepliGo Professional, the new subscription-based web service is intended to provide BlackBerry users the ability to view PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files directly on the device without losing the document's original look and feel.

BlackBerry users can download the current beta of RepliGo from here.

It's good to see Cerience haven't disappeared from the face of the earth totally (anyone that frequents their forums would be excused for thinking they had "left the building").

Maybe now they might start looking at an update for the rest of us, which is long overdue. I love repligo, and use it a lot, but would love to see some of the proposed fixes and changes implemented.

I contacted them last Friday regarding RepliGo development for Palm OS / Pocket PC, and they told me there's no "current engineering effort" in RepliGo 2.0. Good thing is they don't outrule future development either.

That's something at least. I must admit I'm still disappointed in the absolute silence from them with regards to updates and responses on their forums. They seem to ignore or avoid almost all posts (especially those asking when or if changes will be made or problems will be fixed), and respond to those that appear easy to answer.
