Inauguration Day is here, and the forty-fourth President of the United States is about to be sworn into office. In honor of this event, the Financial Times Inauguration Edition is being offered as a free download for Kindle users. This special edition of the Financial Times even includes the extra section, "President Obama's Challenge."

A noob question here, but with the periodicals and newspapers, does the content stay on your kindle to you tell it to delete it? (thinking about getting a Kindle)

Papers and magazines stay on the Kindle until they are removed. After they are removed, they stay in the Amazon account for a period of time, then disappear.

Books bought from Amazon stay on the Kindle until removed, then stay in the Amazon account permanently.

Samples disappear when removed.

Books procured elsewhere disappear when removed, which is a good reason to keep a back up.
