But if they're using the "eReader DRM" which already exists (as I would think they might as well, since they're already having to maintain backward compatibility with all the old-format eReader books that have been sold—might as well not have to mess with two different DRM schemes in addition to two different formats), it already has been broken. You can find the script in one of the other forums on this very website, I believe.

And even if it hadn't been, one of the fundamental flaws of DRM is that there isn't any DRM that "cannot be broken."

Has there been any word on when Fictionwise will be out with a version of eReader that supports epub? If Fictionwise is listening, how about also adding support for TXT and HTML while you're at it. This would make eReader much more useful and cut down on the need for several reader programs.

As you probably know Fictionwise was purchased by Barnes and Noble, I wonder if this will affect future plans such as epub support.

There's no such thing as a DRM that cannot be "broken". The fundamental way DRM works is flawed.
