Actually it didn't. They already broke iOS 4.0 GM edition. All they were doing was making sure the public release was the same.

it wasn't, they had to tweak things a bit. but apparently apple didn't save all the tricky DRM additions until the end like they did with 3.x either. maybe they don't care as much as they used to..

That or they've started thinking the best route is to close down the security holes once the JB is out rather than trying to go through expensive code audits that might not find the same hole the JB community knows about.

There's a new version (mac & windows) that fixes a bug iPod Touch 2G users had with iBooks and enables multitasking. I'm now multitasking on a Touch 2G!

I've been running two 3Gs sets for a a couple of days now, jailbroken and unlocked (just for the sake of it). Rock solid so far.

I find OS4 a tad slower than 3.1.x on the 3Gs, however. Not very noticeable and not really an issue, but it is there.
