virus?
Hi people,
I just switched antivirus (symantec -> kaspersky) and now calibre exhibits signs of virus infection: virus.win32.agent.cj in module calibre.exe\CORE_RL_zlib.dll I saw in an old thread a false positive mentioned some time ago, but that was a different one. Any info? I'm a bit worried! alessandro |

I use semantic at work and it didn't say anything about it... hmmm Maybe I should try a different one.

It's a false positive.

If there's an easy way for you to flag it, then give it a go, but unfortunately, false positives just seem to be a fact of life - I've had McAfee (locked down on my works laptop, so I can't tweak the settings) twice delete my "Screenshot Captor" app when it (McAfee) has updated it's patterns & thought it detected a virus...

I believe people have told kaspersky about calibre in the past as well, it doesn't seem to do any good, but you're welcome to try |

fwiw, I'm running Kaspersky v7 on one laptop and v9 on the other (upgraded from v7 yesterday). I've never had a problem running Calibre on either laptop. (Have had plenty of other problems with Kaspersky, mainly to do with my 3G modem, but that's another saga entirely) - running Calibre 0.6.23 (about to go to 25) in Win XP Pro SP 3
