Sony PRS900 vs 600

Hi Everyone,

Ive been browsing around the forums here for the past few days as I am trying to decide which reader to buy. I like how helpful and friendly everyone here is, so I was hoping I could get some advice myself. I live in Canada so my options are limited, for me the main points are:

1) Ability to annotate and write notes (I pretty much read only books on finance and economics)
2) Good PDF support
3) Ability to download content from RSS feeds

So far I haven't found anything with regards to point 3, but I know about the calibre route so that is a good compromise.

Ive narrowed it down to the PRS 900 and the 600. Now I know there is no 3G support in Canada for the 900, but the main selling point for the 900 for me is the bigger size, better newspaper format and better PDF handling.

For those who have experience using both in Canada, which would you recommend? Or you have a better suggestion that would be much appreciated as well!

Thanks in advance

I'm wondering the same as you, and I'm leaning towards the PRS 900 at the moment, especially with the price dropping to $300.00.

The reason I'm leaning towards the PRS 900 is the landscape mode with the PDFs, to me, it looks like it handles PDF formatting a lot better than the PRS 600 due to the bigger screen size.

This video pretty much has me leaning towards PRS 900: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF3p55C1Nt4

I'm still reading/researching though before I pull the trigger. All my books will be in PDF, as I don't really care about shopping for books, so Nook & Kindle having the bigger selection doesn't really much matter to me. If I do get the PRS-900, I probably will keep the 3G permanently off. Like I said, all my stuff will be PDFs (magazines, books, manuals, comics, etc), so a reader that can deal with PDFs is a must for me.

Let me know what you decide though and why, as I'm still deciding PRS 900 or PRS 600 (only because of the price is why I'm still considering it).

PDF handling is about the same on 600, 900. You'll zoom in a lot. On the 900, you might pan less because of slightly more screen space.
