The size is the problem, regardless of the contents.

And the animated graphic in the signature. "A discreet, non-animated graphic is acceptable."

The simplest method to become compliant is to drop either the animated book reading smiley or the ticker. I do not recommend staying non-compliant. ______ Dennis |

If my animated smiley is a problem, it's time to remove all the non-discreet animated avatars as they can be in your face.
So why again are we going overboard here? |

Animated avatars may be next, if enough people -- such as yourself -- demand it.

So this is how you treat long term members by deleting their signatures? This is the best way to lose members big time. There was nothing wrong with my signature. I had that animated smiley for long enough that if anyone thought it was a problem, it should have been mentioned long before now.
Whoever is complaining about our signatures being a problem can just turn them off and let the rest of of be. Thank you for nothing at all. So you change the rules just to screw with us. I get it. You want us gone. Last edited by JSWolf; 02-22-2011 at 10:58 AM. |

The new rules are being way too strict. Things were fine the way there were. There was no good reason to change things. What was the reason for screwing with the signatures? I can understand signatures that were excessively large. But mine wasn't and I can see a lot of others that you'll be screwing with that also are not too large,

I was told by by HarryT that my signature was too large. So I made it as small as possible and no word was said since. That was fine. Then along comes this thread and all of a sudden, it's too large still even though I made it as small as possible and didn't get one word of it's still too big. So how is this being fair?

Jon,
As I have already told you by PM, your discussion with me was under the old guidelines. We now have new guidelines and your signature did not comply with them. There's really no point in continuing to discuss this. It's a "done deal" and isn't going to change. The new guidelines apply equally to everybody and are certainly not targetted specifically at you. |

I'm not saying they are targeted at me. I'm saying they are unfair to everyone thanks to a few who want to spoil things for the rest of us.
