Bohlen, R. Sidley: Dave Dawson Over Berlin (Installment V). v. 1. 14 Jan 2015

This is the fifth installment of the (missing) 16th volume of R. Sidney
Bowen's Dave Dawson series. R. Sidley Bohlen (yours truly) decided to
continue the series. Dave and Freddy Farmer continue their death-defying
exploits, and sometimes death comes close to getting the upper hand.

The fourth installment had Dave and Freddy discovering a secret Nazi
underground base on Iceland that poses a threat to the Allies' North
Atlantic ferry route.

I had posted the first four installments here over the past year or so.
This makes a total of the equivalent of 140 or so print pages.

I'm using the periodical installment method of writing,
one at a time. Dickens was notorious for this, and even
Stephen King tried it once.

The Dave Dawson series of juvenile military fiction was very successful
during WWII. After the war, there were no more written. There were 15
books published in the series, and a sixteen, "Dave Dawson Over Berlin,"
was announced but never published, and probably never written.

The original Dave Dawson series, by R. Sidney Bowen, is out of copyright,
and several of the books are available on Gutenberg in various e-book
formats.
