Question about saving to disk

How does Calibre choose the file and folder permissions it uses when I save books to disk? I'm getting rw-r--r-- (in Unix-speak) when I would really prefer rw-rw-r--. How can I change the default?

Calibre 0.6.19 on Mac OS X 10.6.1

IIRC it doesn't do anything in particular. On Unix like systems (and I assume the Mac is sufficiently Unix like) it simply uses the default umask the file system is mounted with.

Super! It's easy to adjust the default umask either globally or per-user. I always like it when I get the best possible answer to a stupid question like that.
