Issuu which is available on the Android OS is apparently going to be released for the iPad.

This app is really nice.

I would also like to see: Safari Bookbag which gives you access to Safari Books online with the availability to download PDF-chapters for reading offline.

One other app that allows you to save web-pages for browsing offline:
iSaveWeb, http://www.maximumsoft.com/
