PRS-600 ebook library will not launch

The reader ebook library refuses to launch - I have uninstalled it and re-installed it several times, but with no success whatever.

Can some-one help, please? I followed the Sony "help" (ha ha) but the path described did not correspond with my system (Vista).

I use the reader for organising "collections" of different categories of "books" (mostly tiny .txt, .pdf or .rtf files) ... I wonder if there is any other software that would do the same job?

Calibre works just fine for organising collections and all sorts of other functions.

But I've got the Sony PRS-600 and Vista, too and I've noticed that sometimes the Sony library seems not to launch. But, leave it alone and five or ten minutes later it eventually appears. AFAICT it's just incredibly slow to launch. Or, when it seems to take way too long, I just re-boot the system and then it starts up again a little bit quicker than before.

When the Sony ebook library was working I never had to wait over-long for it to launch. Now it will not launch at-all, no matter how long I wait - neither automatically nor when double-clicked.

with no success.
