Sie ist damit nach wissenschaftlicher Methode entstanden und dennoch "nicht haltbar", weil ihr von Fachleuten im kritischen Konsens, d.h. in der Übereinstimmung hinsichtlich der zu Grunde zu legenden Kriterien, die Nichteinhaltung eben dieser Kriterien nachgewiesen werden konnte.

Wenn nein, dann verstehe ich den Verweis auf die Beispiele nicht.

Methodenpluralismus ist eine Selbstverständlichkeit und hat nichts mit Willkür oder Beliebigkeit zu tun. Das ist eben so in der Kulturwissenschaft, dass dort verschiedene Methoden miteinander koexistieren.

Kritik an der Stuttgarter Hölderlin Ausgabe kam keinesfalls von Fachleuten aus dem Hochschulbetrieb, sondern von Aussenseitern, die zunächst verlacht wurden und die dann eine eigene Ausgabe in die Wege geleitet haben, die nun weltweit als editorisches Musterprojekt gilt. Die Stuttgarter Ausgabe interessiert niemanden mehr, selbst nun wo sie gratis ins Web gestellt wurde. Das ist nur noch von historischem Interesse, falls man irgendetwas nachschlagen muss.

Du hast ja mit deinem Stuttgarter Hölderlin selbst den Beweis für diese These erbracht: erst im kritischen Diskurs von Fachleuten ergab sich in der Folge ein Konsens, der die Unhaltbarkeit dieser Ausgabe betraf, die nach "wissenschaftlicher Methode" erarbeitet worden ist.

Ich denke da spielen verschiedene Wissenschaftsbegriffe eine Rolle. Für mich ist Wissenschaft primär eine Methode der individuellen Aneignung der Welt. Wahr ist dabei nicht was in der Wikipedia steht, sondern wahr ist das, was der erkennende Mensch in der Realität wahrzunehmen vermag. Das bedeutet im Gegenzug allerdings auch, dass ein Mensch der etwas nicht zu erkennen vermag, wohl ein methodisches Defizit aufweist..

Aber im Grossen und Ganzen ist es natürlich so, dass Fachgespräche und Kolloquien von grosser Bedeutung sind. Einem Kollegen mag das ja vielleicht ganz gleichgültig sein welche Methoden man anzuwenden meint, das sollte auch nicht so sehr im Vordergrund stehen. Aber dennoch ist beim Kollegen natürlich das Interesse am anderen Menschen vorhanden und an den Dingen, womit sich der Gegenüber eben beschäftigt.

Ich würde jetzt noch gerne Tipps für die Gestaltung der Buchumschläge haben, denn da komme ich momentan nicht vorwärts. Meine selbsterzeugten Buchumschläge genügen meinen ästhetischen Ansprüchen nicht mehr.

Nach der "Methode der individuellen Aneignung der Welt" solltest du dir dann aber vielleicht auch die Gestaltung der Buchumschläge individuell aneignen (und nicht auf einen Diskurs von Fachleuten zurückgreifen) ...

Ich habe leider zur Zeit gar keine Zeit für Fachgespräche, ich bin momentan in die Walther Kabel Lektüre vertieft. Ich finde es unglaublich dass sich Persönlichkeiten gefunden haben, das Werk dieses mir zuvor unbekannten Autors zu pflegen, und dann auch noch in einer solch liebevollen Art und Weise.

Magst du uns den aktuellen Stand deiner Umschläge zeigen? So ganz allgemein Gestaltungstipps zu geben, scheint mir gar nicht möglich zu sein.

Mein Problem besteht darin dass ich eine hochformatige Ursprungsgrafik habe die ich gerne für den Buchumschlag nutzen möchte, aber vom Format her ist das sehr, sehr ungünstig.

Die Handlung des Werks ereignet sich in den Zedernwäldern des Libanon und ersteckt sich bis zum Ende der Welt.

Es ist recht anspruchsvoll das Ende der Welt für einen Buchumschlag zu illustrieren. Aber da muss ich nun wohl durch.

Ja dann weiss man aber schon was es ist und ich wollte eigentlich das das eine Überraschung wird. Andererseits kann man sich aber so schon auch mal drauf freuen. Es ist ja nur der Umschlag. Ich mache den Umschlag als Motivationshilfe immer zuerst, bis zum fertigen Buch kann es also noch Monate dauern. Oder Jahre..

Grafik 3 würde ich eigentlich gerne verwenden. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Nachzeichnung einer Statue aus dem Cour Khorsabad des Louvre (Quelle).

Grafik 2 wäre der Ersatzumschlag falls sich da überhaupt nichts machen lässt. Grafik 3 käme dann hinter oder vor das Titelblatt.
