You continually have to clean the reader's reading surface from smudges, spittle, dust and it gathers in button cracks, annoying.

There is cardboard and other polluting material involved in reading device packaging that could be, read that should be addressed. The paraphernalia of wires and chargers could be reduced in size. A plus is that the manuals are eformated and onboard the devices, no paper other than how to turn the device on.

ebooks such because when you get a paper book that you absolutely hate, it's fun to tear this horrid book to pieces. Try that with an ebook.

E-books suck because you miss out on that smug feeling you get when your guests look at the book shelves and say "Wow! Have you read all of those?"

Ebooks can't be used to build a barricade around your bedroom to keep out younger siblings/parents/children/roommates/etc.

Ebooks suck because it's so much easier to pirate print books. In every city there are these huge repositories of pirated books called libraries- where you can read and even take home print books, movies, even audiobooks- get this- all for free! If I want to read the latest Harry Potter book for free I can just stroll into one of these places, find it on the shelf, and take it home and read it. If you can't find what your looking for, you simply ask the friendly pirate at the front desk and they'll have it shipped from whichever one of these warehouses has it- again all for free!

With ebooks it's almost impossible- you have to search a bunch of pirate sites, fire up bittorent, wait for the file to become available, fire up another app to convert it into lrf and then use another app to send it over to the Sony Reader. Almost makes you want to pay 25.00 for the file just to avoid the pain- except most of of the publishers would rather deny you the ability to do even that!

ebooks suck because you cannot get the wonderful feeling you get when you get a paper cut that bleeds such a nice color of red.

ebooks suck because you dont get the same guilty thrill out of bringing some naughty book to the lady behind the checkout counter. Or having the librarian at checkout call out to the wizenened old spinster behind the big desk "Can this young man check out 'Lady Chatterly's Lover'?" This thought alone stopped me from reading many an enjoyable classic at my local library when I was a teen.

Ebooks suck because when you're using one, and very into your book and enjoying the reading experience, there's always somebody who will come up and start asking you questions about it. (When all you want to do is read your book and be left alone...)

Even worse.. Ebooks suck because just as you are about to find out who did the murder, the battery dies.
