I just fixed my computer. Turns out pushing random buttons can sometimes help in dire times of need.

Time for a bump... I just got a stack tour of perhaps the largest scifi and fantasy collection in a public library system - The Judith Merrill Collection. Lots of old comics, hard bounds and paper backs all in a temperature and humidity controlled dark room. And I can read anything there any time they are open. But they will have somebody beside me to help me turn the pages of their first edition, second printing, of Bram Stoker's Dracula! I actually got to see (and touch briefly) a hundred and twenty year old book in great shape. What a great place to have within walking distance.

What determines which genre a song/group falls into? As an example, I'm a fan of the Carpenters. While most of their music falls into the "Easy Listening" genre, they did some songs that fall into other genres such as "Sweet Sweet Smile" (country), "B'wana She No Home" (jazz), and "Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft" (symphonic rock).
I did some checking in Wikipedia and found a list of a massive number of musical genres. Still, how do you determine which genre a specific song falls into? Even more confusing are parodies, do you put them in the genre of the original song, or do you treat them as comedy? |

Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music
Musical harisplitting always makes me laugh. There are two genres of music: what I listen to and crap. |
