They're selling some more today for the same $60.

Is this a good deal?

I ended up getting one from this offer and after having it for two weeks, I really like it as an ereader. It's a little anemic as an Android tablet (old Android version, slow processor), but it runs reader apps fine and $60 is definitely a bargain if you like reading on a backlit LCD screen.

They apparently have a few more to unload, because Rakuten.com is still selling them for the same price.

I find, for the price, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (size 7) is the best small tablet with Android but you are paying $150 refurbished at least but it's fast and has a card slot.

The Kobo Vox was never worth the full ticket price of $250 when they first came out about 2 years ago. The Kindle Fire #1 was only $200 and it was a lot faster but did not have an SD card for additional 32GB. The price kept on dropping to the now $60 for refurbished readers. The price is good as a first reader or a backup but it is slow and using the card is a bit iffy.

Costco is selling them for $160 new; plus a slip case is included.

The earlier link used to point to brand-new ones for $60, but the same link now points to refurbished ones selling for almost $90. I do love it as an ereader (I'm not a fan of e-ink and my 10" tablet gets heavy after a while), but even new I wouldn't pay more than $60 and I sure wouldn't expect it to pass for a general-use tablet. I ended up using Mantano reader rather than the Kobo app because the Kobo app needs a little more horsepower to run smoothly.

I think the Vox is really sensitive to memory card quality and speed. I normally keep a cheap PNY card in it and it's slow and somewhat unreliable, but if I swap in a SanDisk card it works without a hitch (both cards are class 4).
