Yeah, that announcement clearly states that both reflowable pdf and epub will be available on the Gen 3 and that it will support DRM. I wonder how that is compatible with the Mobi exclusivity?

Sounds like both iRex and Bookeen have reached some sort of agreement to have both Mobi and Adobe DRM on the device. That's excellent news in terms of giving the reader the maximum choice.

This is bad news since it promotes the use of DRM.

While I suspect there are not many who like DRM, after all apart from making it difficult for a user to read their books it doesn't really serve much other purpose, the added choice of what to read will be welcomed. It is difficult to get some books in some formats and so the fewer conversions to remedy the problem, the better.
