Save to disk, opens folder, how to turn it off

When I click Save to disk, it opens the folder, how can I stop it opening the folder?
Also when I click Convert book, I want it to convert the book without asking me to change anything.

I believe this is a Windows work around, to insure that the data actually finishes writing. Calibre is not the only proggy that does this.

Not just windows - it does it on linux (ubuntu 64 bit 10.04, Calibre 0.7.12) too.

I like this feature personally. I always export to a fixed location, then copy from there to wherever I want to put the file, so the fact that it automatically opens the folder is a time saver.

I understand why it may be helpful for some people, but there should be a way to turn this off. I always copy it to the eBook reader, there is no need for the folder to open.

As you are copying to a device, try using Connect To Folder (available under Connect/Share) instead of Save to Disk. It doesn't open an explorer. It also provides additional functionality, such as the OnDevice check marks.
