Configuration of File Names
I'm sorry if the answer is in one of these threads, I did search the forum (and Google too). How does one establish the file name upon conversion? Right now, my books are named "Title - Author Last_Author First".
I would like them to be named "Author Last - Title". Is this possible? Thanks for a fantastic tool. |

The internal structure of the Calibre library cannot be changed, unfortunately.

You could, however, do a Save to disk and make a copy of your library with the naming scheme you want.
First, go into Preferences -> Add/Save -> Saving Books and configure your output folders and filenames the way you want. Then, do a Save to disk. You'll get a copy of your library sorted/named the way you want. (I believe it's only the books currently listed, so you can filter first.) First rule of Calibre is don't mess with that database. There's myriads of ways to access it, though. |

Sounds like a possibility. Thank you.
