Another "Doc" Smith story for your enjoyment. Harry has already done an excellent version of this story for the Sony Reader back in June of last year.

There has always been, and will always be, the problem of surviving the experience that any trained expert can handle… when there hasn’t been any first survivor to be an expert! When no one has ever gotten back to explain what happened…

July 1960. The fine folks at Gutenberg researched and could not find a renewal for the copyright so it is PD in the US.
