Hallo,

ja ich habe mein Gerät mittlerweile und bin eigentlich schwer begeistert.
Abgesehen von lesen habe bisher damit aber nicht nicht gemacht.

Ebooks Romane etc. sind freilich vorzüglich zu lesen. Auch abends im Bett habe ich trotz unkenrufens keine Probleme beim Licht der Nachttischlampe zu lesen.

PDF Dokumente könnten gerne noch einen Tick grösser sein, sind aber gut zu lesen. Spiegeln tut das Display auch bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung kaum allerdings habe ich das Gefühl das bei direkter Sonne die Buchstaben "verblassen" Man kann es aber immer noch sehr gut lesen.

Etwas nervig ist, dass das Gerät scheinbar kein Standby hat (oder ich es nicht finde) und man zwar das automatische Querstellen aber wohl nicht den Sensor abstellen kann (Für Lageerkennung).

Etwas zusammenhangslos ich weiss. Ich bin im grossen und ganzen sehr zufrieden

Herzlichen Glükwunsch, schön das mal wieder jemand zufrieden mit seinem PB ist.

-Lesen im direkten Sonenlicht: nur weils möglich ist, muss es nicht unbedingt auch klug sein, den reader direktem Sonnenlicht auszusetzen. Es ist immer noch ein elektronisches Gerät, das sich bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung stark erhitzen kann und dadurch eventuell kaputt geht, ausserdem gibt es auch diverse Berichte, das ds Display streifig wird wenn es starkem UV Licht ausgesetzt wird. Geht zwar meistens wieder weg, aber halt eben nicht immer.

-Standby gibt es leider nicht, aber Auto-Abschalten nach x-Minuten. Wenn man dazu die letzte Seite als Boot-Logo nimmt, hat man sowas ähnliches. Ich weiss allerdings nicht, wieviel Strom das booten im Vergleich zum Dauerbetrieb braucht. Hatte meinen 602 mal andauernd an, da war er nach ca. 2 Wochen leer, wenn ich ihn bei Nichtbenutzung ausschalte hält der Akku aber auch nicht signifikant länger.

-Ich glaube dieser Lagesensor nervt viele, mich auch...

Muss man nicht nutzen, kann man aber. Sie kann ihn ja auch ausschalten.

Ich schlaf immer dabei ein also beim Lesen natürlich. Da bin ich über das Auto-abschalten schon sehr froh. Und 14 Tage sind es bei mir auch, dann ist er auf zwei Streifen runter und kommt ans Netz.

Liest Du die vorher genannten 2 Stunden pro Tag am Stück oder mit Unterbrechungen? Nach meiner Wahrnehmung werden die Akkus schneller leer, wenn man das Gerät bspw. 4 mal pro Tag jeweils für 30min anstatt 2 Stunden am Stück benutzt.

14 Tage Akkulaufzeit mit 2 Stunden Lesen am Tag ist aber ohnehin in Ordnung wie ich finde. Versuch das mal mit einem K3 oder einem nook mit jeweils deaktiviertem wifi/3g hinzubekommen...Aussichtslos (wobei der K3 da länger als der nook durchhält)

Der Kindle 3 wird doch wohl länger als 2 Wochen durchhalten. Amazon gibt als Lesezeit bei Wireless off einen Monat an. Da kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass der nur 2 wochen läuft, auch bei intensiver Nutzung. Selbst mein Kindle DX hält rund 2,5 Wochen und ich nutze den wirklich jeden Tag.

Naja, es kommt immer drauf an wie viel man liest.. Und auf die Werbeangaben von Amazon würde ich da nicht zählen.. 1 Monat reicht vielleicht wenn man jeden Tag ne halbe Stunde liest

Sony wirbt mit 10.000 Seitenwechel (auf der "Sony Reader Club Seite") oder bis zu 2 Wochen Akkulaufzeit (Sony.de)...

Der Kindle wird auch im "Normalbetrieb" mit Wifi off keinen Monat aushalten:
