Dimming Screen While Reading a Book

As best I can tell, if you want to dim the screen while reading a book, you have to tap, go Home, slide down frm the top, hit Brightness, and adjust brightness.

Is there a way to adjust screen dimming while reading a book?

You don't need to go Home: just tap, swipe down, access brightness, swipe up to return to reading. That said, I wish they'd add brightness adjustment gesture like Kindle Android app has.

Well, THAT'S embarrassing ... (grin). I conversed with TWO Amazon reps in the past week, and, while ending our conversations, I asked that that would be included in a future firmware update. And both acknowledged it as "something to improve." But you are absolutely correct: Tap on the page, slide down, adjust brightness right there, and press Back Arrow to return to the page of the book!

Thank you!
