usbNetwork and Windows
Hi, I am trying to copy some certificate to this location /var/local/java/keystore/, but I can´t find it ... I have my Kindle3 hacked, usbNetwork works too, I can connect to kindle via telnet, but it is all I can. Anybody can give me an advice, how to do this in Windows - in some programme or via some browser?
Thank you so much. |

If you have telnet or ssh access you can also use any sFTP program to browse your kindle (don't forget to make the K3 filesystem writable with the command "mntroot rw")

I am doing this o mac:
connect via your sFTP client to the kindle You will end up in an empty dir (I believe it is something like /tmp/root/) from there you go "down" to the root dir (/../). From the root dir you browse "up" to: /var/local/java/keystore/ Copy your keystores and presto.. Regards, EqX |

The problem is, when I try to connect to kindle (WinSCP or FileZilla) it wants password - and blank isn´t accepted. It show me fatal error and problem with verification.... via telnet on windows (cmd line) I normally connect, but I am beginner, so I don´t know necessary commands, so that´s way I want to do this via some browser.

There you can set your new PWD by entering "passwd" on the commandline.. Use the new pwd to login via sFTP |

so the username who's pasword you are changing is the pwd from the user "root". You can simply check this by giving the command "whoami" Regards, EqX |
