Frozen PRS-500

Hi I'm new here. Glad to have the opportunity to join. Last year I bought a Sony PRS-500. All went well for a few months then it froze up. When I turn on the reader I get the bottom half of the screen with content. The top half is blank except for a narrow bar across the screen. I've tried to do a soft reset...didn't work.

There probably is a thread that covers this. Can you lead me to it?

Thanks so much.

Gary
