Barnes and Noble bought Fictionwise
This announcement is posted at the Fictionwise site:
As you may be aware, Barnes & Noble, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Fictionwise, Inc., including the Fictionwise.com and eReader.com eBook retail websites. For more information, please review the FAQs on this page. I had wondered how long it would take Barnes&Noble to get into the ebook marketplace. I now wonder what this means -- will Fictionwise and ereader.com offer more Sony books, or will Barnes&Noble simply let the two sites continue as they have been, with some of the books in multiformat which includes LRF format, but lots of books in other secure formats but no LRX books. In other words, might this site become competition for the Sony site? |
