Hmm, interesting. I wonder if apps would include Evernote, Dropbox etc. I guess it depends on what "Android OS" means.

Having just today killed my Aura HD (but immediately ordering another) I will be tracking this one.

A reader where I could install Calibre Companion for organization along with my choice of reading app(s) would hold a fair amount of interest.

Neither the original German article nor the press release mention a version number. The German piece does specifically list Dropbox as an example of what can be installed, though. Also noteworthy, it has a PDF reflow feature.

Quite interesting.
Does anyone have more information?

Specifically, what processor? "1Ghz Rookchip processor" doesn't say much (System on a Chip, ARM, includes MP3 and perhaps others)...

Aside from that, I'm definitely considering buying it. My trustworthy Kobo still works fine, but with that I might be able to actually install Boinc on my eBook reader <ggg>
(Just for laughs, the perfomance would likely be horrible.)

I am so going to rock this. The point of an open android eink device isn't angry birds, but the myriad of ebook readers available. It's about using the tools that give you the best reading experience.

Look closely at the picture of the screen, does anything look familiar? It's a screenshot of a Kindle (2 or 3 I would think). Not ready yet?

If it can run Calibre Companion and Moon+ Reader with acceptable performance, I'll pick it up, too. 256 MB RAM is on the low end, though, and there's no mention of the Google Play store anywhere.

It's without question the e-ink device this year that interests me the most. Hopefully, there will be more information available soon.

Their website also shows a flexible e-ink reader (among a ton of different models in their range)?
